The Department of African and African American Studies invites graduate students to a three-part professionalization series focused on academic writing and publishing. This spring, faculty will share practical guidance on preparing an academic article, navigating the book publication process, and transforming a dissertation into a manuscript. The series features Professors Matthew D. Morrison, Shelley Fisher Fishkin, and the Literature Editor at Cambridge University Press Ryan Ray offering graduate students concrete tools and insight for advancing their scholarly work and careers.
