"Black, White, Jewish" seeks to explore race, religion, and national identities comparatively, using the example of Jewishness. Through investigations of the conflicts between and connections built between American Blacks and Jews, students will develop a vocabulary for talking about how people are categorized, how trust has been established or fractured across communities and cultures, and the limits of intersectionality.
